In order to communicate with your team or document information, you can comment on a project or a specific task! This is a great place to ask questions, make any necessary notations or even send a team member a notification.
Projects
In a project, you'll see the comment area on the right hand side. First, click into the text box to type your comment. When you're ready to post, click the 'comment' box! You will also have the ability to edit or delete comments after you have posted them.
You can also @ mention team members here directly. Your peer will see a new notification on their Notifications page on the left panel. This can be a great way to surface more pressing information.
Tasks
Leaving comments on a task can be an excellent way to highlight hurdles and blockers or just provide notes for yourself (such as a URL or where you'll pick up the task later.
To leave a comment on a specific task, you'll first click into the task you'd like to comment on. You'll see task details on the left and the comments area on the right. Type into the text box to type your comment and then when you're ready to post, click the blue 'comment' button!
As you can see in the below screenshot, the blocked flag was enabled and a comment was left detailing why the task is now blocked.
You'll be able to tell if a task has a comment on it because when a comment is left on a task, a message bubble will appear!
To @ mention a team member on either a project or task comment, you'll simply type the @ symbol and you'll see a list of team members appear! Select who you'd like to @ mention from the list, write the rest of your comment and then post!
