Overview
The new Weekly Dashboard gives you a single view of what's overdue, what's due soon, and what your team has finished. You can switch between Projects and Tasks, filter by firm member, and pick the week you want to review. Find it under Work in the side panel.
The dashboard has three main areas:
Time-frame panels: Overdue, Due Today, Due This Week and Due Next Week.
Recently Completed Projects: work finished during the selected week.
Status and label breakdowns: counts by Not Started, In Progress and Complete, overall and by project label.
Projects / Tasks toggle
Use the Projects and Tasks toggle in the top-left corner to switch the whole dashboard between project counts and task counts. The panels, status counts and label table all update to match. Recently Completed Projects always shows projects.
Firm member filter
The dropdown next to the toggle defaults to All Firm Members. Select a specific team member to see only the work assigned to them.
The options available here depend on your permissions. If you don't have permission to view other team members' work, you'll only see your own.
Date picker
The date picker in the top-right corner defaults to the current week. To view a different week:
Use the month dropdown to jump to a different month.
Use the < and > arrows to move back or forward one week at a time.
The selected week controls the Recently Completed Projects section, the Not Started / In Progress / Complete counts, and the Project Label table.
The four time-frame panels
Four panels at the top of the dashboard show how much work falls into each due-date window. Each panel uses its own time frame and isn't affected by the date picker.
Overdue: projects or tasks past their due date that aren't complete.
Due Today: projects or tasks due today.
Due This Week: projects or tasks due during the current week.
Due Next Week: projects or tasks due during the following week.
Each count is clickable. Click the count in any panel to go to the Projects or Tasks view with filters already applied. For example, clicking the Overdue count with Projects selected opens a list of only overdue projects.
The panels follow the Projects / Tasks toggle and the firm member filter, so you can check one person's overdue tasks in two clicks.
What you see on each plan
Premium plans show hours alongside counts in the four time-frame panels; Starter plans show counts only. On Starter, each panel shows a single total count in the middle instead of being split into counts and hours.
Hours are the total budgeted time from tasks. In Projects view, a project's hours are the combined budgeted time of all its tasks. They help you see not just how many items are due, but how much work they represent.
To see hours on your dashboard, upgrade to Premium.
Recently Completed Projects/Tasks
Lists the projects or tasks (depending on your view) completed during the selected week, with the completion date and client name. Project, task and client names are clickable, and you can click a column header to sort.
Not Started, In Progress and Complete
Shows how many projects or tasks due in the selected week sit in each status. Click a count to open the matching list.
Project Label
Shows active labels on projects with a status and total for each label. Click any number to be taken to a filtered list of jobs with that label on it.
FAQ
Why don't I see hours on my dashboard? Hours are available on Premium plans only. Starter plans show project and task counts.
Where do the hours come from? They're the sum of the budgeted time set on tasks. A project's hours combine the budgeted time of all its tasks. Tasks with no budgeted time don't add to the total.
Why can't I select other team members? If you don't have permission to view other team members' work, the filter only shows your own. Ask your firm admin if you need access to other team members' work.
How do I get back to the current week? Use the arrows or the month dropdown in the date picker to return to this week. The dashboard opens on the current week each time you load it.
Why is Recently Completed Projects/Tasks empty? No projects/tasks were completed in the selected week for the firm member you've chosen. Try a different week or select All Firm Members.
