The Tasks page provides the same table experience available across the other tables in the app, including infinite scroll, table search, customizable columns, filters, and export.
The tasks tab is a great place to zoom in and focus on your work on a task basis vs. project basis. Here's some quick tips for navigating the tasks tab!
This page also features inline editing in multiple of the column categories so you can edit information directly on the tasks table. These editable columns include:
task name
task due date
task assignee
task status
task actuals
task budgeted time
Search Your Table
To search on the tasks tab, use the search bar in the upper left hand corner of the table.
Quick Filters
There are quick filters able to be opened up with the quick filters icon for both Task Assignee (drop down) and a few common time frames. Open up the drop down menus to change your selection or click a different time frame to reload the table with the new criteria!
Editing Tasks
To edit tasks, select the tasks you want to edit with the square check mark box in the column all the way to the left of the table.
After you've selected at least one task, the edit button will become clickable and you can edit the selected tasks to update the due date or task assignee.
Add/Remove Columns
To add or remove columns to your task table, click the Add Columns icon, make your selections and then hit Update columns.
The columns you can add to your tasks table are: task due date, task assignee, task status, associated project name, client name, task budgeted time, project label, project due date, project assignee and project status.
You can also drag and drop the columns to rearrange your view!
Filtering
To filter your task table, hit the Filters button, open up the filter you'd like to apply, make your selection. You will also see the filters you have currently selected across the top of the table.
Exporting
Hit the Export button on the right hand side to export your current table results to a CSV.
Working from the Tasks Tab
To mark a task off as complete, click the circular bubble next to the task name. If you wish to open up a task to change the status, leave a comment or view/update the checklist, click the name of the task and the task sidebar menu will open and you can update from there!
To navigate to the associated project, make sure you have the associated project name column on the table and then click the name of the project to be taken to the project page.
Saved Views
Once you've applied the filters you want, you can save them as a Saved View so you don't have to rebuild them every time. Your saved views will appear in a drop down near the top of the table.
To create a new saved view, start applying filters and you'll see a field to type your view name - enter a name and save it once your filters are set the way you'd like.
Saved Views can be edited, duplicated, or deleted at any time, making it easy to maintain multiple ways of looking at your projects (by team, by client type, by due date range, etc.). You can have up to 25 custom saved views. Saved views are individual per account - not shared by the entire team.
