The clients tab is where all your client profiles will live. On this tab, you can add or remove columns from your table view, filter, search and sort your existing client list by default and custom fields, import new clients, create a new client and add in custom fields.
This page also features inline editing in multiple of the column categories so you can edit information directly on the clients table instead of clicking into a profile to edit. These editable columns include:
client name
client assignee
priority
status
any custom field
Customize Your Table Columns
Customize your table view on the clients tab by clicking the Add Columns icon. Options will appear on your right hand menu allowing you to select or deselect columns displayed on your table. Options will include default fields and any custom fields in your account!
You can also rearrange the column order by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order. Columns can also be resized by dragging left or right on the column's side border.
Sorting, Filtering and Searching Your Client List
To sort your client list, click a column header and the list will reorganize itself based on your selection.
To search, use the search bar in the upper left hand corner of the table.
To filter your client list, click on the Filters icon at the top of the screen. This will open up the filters menu where you can view all the filter options. Your filter options will include default fields and custom fields!
Click on a specific filter to open that option up where you can make one or multiple selections to filter your list.
Creating Saved Views
Once you've filtered your client list to show exactly what you need, you can save that filtered view to quickly access it again later - no need to reapply your filters each time.
To create a saved view:
Filter your client list using the Filters icon as needed.
Once your filters are set, click into the box that says 'Type the view name here' to name your view
Click Save as View
Once you've created at least one saved view, a dropdown menu will appear at the top of the Clients Tab, allowing you to easily switch between your saved views and the Default View. There is also always a Default View available, which resets your table back to the unfiltered, default client list. Your account can have up to 25 saved views.
Note: Saved views are individual to each user and cannot be shared with other accounts.
Creating a New Client
To add a new client into your account, click the blue Create New Client button in the upper right hand corner of the Clients Tab. This will then take you to a form to enter the client's information and add them into the account. For more information on adding a client, click here. Remember, all clients must have unique names - the system does not allow for duplicates.
Creating or Editing Custom Fields
To add a custom field into your account, click the Custom Fields tab in top of the Clients Tab. This will then open up a separate tab for you to either create a new custom field or edit an existing field. Your account can have up to 24 unique custom fields. For more information on creating a Custom Field, click here.
Assign (Create) Work
To create new projects, you'll filter your client list (if necessary), select one or multiple clients and then be able to create projects from your existing templates. To learn more about this process, take a look at this article.
Importing Clients
To import new clients, click the import clients icon near the top of the Clients Tab. This will then open up the import flow and take you through the steps of importing clients via a file. If you need a template to gather your client information, you can learn how to export a custom empty data sheet here! For more information on importing clients, click here.
Bulk Editing Clients
From the clients table, you can also make bulk edits to a few fields. Select the clients you want to bulk edit using the square check mark box in the left most column and then click the Bulk Edit icon. You can then update the client assignee or easily change client status (active/inactive) with just a few clicks!
